Your love made me a desert dweller
The fate of luck made me without wings and feathers
You told me to be patient, be patient
Patience strangely put dust on my head

**************

I have a heart that buys love
From which the market of love is warm
I weaved a garment for the stature of the heart
From the warp of sorrow and the weft of love

**************

Whoever fortune gives sight, makes him see in your face
And whoever contemplates your beauty, describes the creator
Whenever I pitch a tent at his door, I tear my clothes, I scream
I cry for the state of my heart, my heart laughs at my work

**************

O cupbearer! Give me a cup of that spiritual wine
So that I may rest for a moment…

**************

The crazy heart became so that it would heed advice
Unless I chain it with the tip of your tress
O idol, what can I do with the sorrow of your love?
Until when should I make the lament of the night in your sorrow?

**************

You stole my heart, O Turk, my plunderer
You saw what you brought, O friend, from the hand of my heart upon my head
First, it gave my heart purity, it gave my mirror shine
Finally, your love gave my ashes to the wind of destruction

**************

What if one night in the privacy of your sanctuary you secretly call us?
You sit by my side and have us sit by your side
Although I am old and weak, do not drive me away from your threshold
For all the days of my youth have passed in your path, O idol

**************

Whoever fortune gives sight, makes him see in your face
And whoever contemplates your beauty, describes the creator
Whenever I pitch a tent at his door, I tear my clothes, I scream
I cry for the state of my heart, my heart laughs at my work
Sometimes he gives a cup of wine to Jamshid, sometimes he kicks sorrow
The old wine seller, out of kindness, does valuable things
If in this garden I live for the scent of the beloved, do not be surprised
For from its scent, the breeze of spring revives the dead earth
