Firouzeh Amirmoez (born 1941) is an Iranian voice actress and radio presenter. For many years, she collaborated with the Golha program as a presenter.
Biography
Firouzeh Amirmoez was born in Tehran in 1941. At the age of thirteen or fourteen, she was invited by Mohammad-Ali Zarandi, a well-known dubbing director and voice actor who was a relative of hers, to dub a short role in an Indian film called Attack of Four Hundred Elephants. This event sparked her great interest in voice acting and dubbing. At the age of 17, she moved to Ahvaz due to her father’s mission as an inspector of Khuzestan Governorate. One day, the director of Ahvaz Radio visited her father for work. Firouzeh Amirmoez asked her father to speak with the radio director and accept her as a presenter. After that, she went to the radio and, after passing the voice test, started working as a live program presenter for requested songs.
After marriage, completing high school, and two or three years passing, she returned to Tehran and went to the radio. At Tehran Radio, after a written exam and voice test, she received a negative answer from the radio officials. For this reason, she returned to dubbing and continued her voice acting activities for a while. After a while, she received a letter of invitation to work from the radio and started her professional collaboration with the radio in 1963. In 1964, she was invited by Davood Pirnia to recite poetry for one of the Golha programs, and since then she continued her artistic activities as one of the permanent presenters of the Golha program.
Firouzeh Amirmoez has also been active in the field of voice acting training. Hormoz Shojaei Mehr, Alireza Moeini, and Parichehr Behrouan are among her students.
