Hassan Nahid (born 1943 in Kerman) is a musician and Ney (Persian reed flute) player. To introduce traditional and authentic Iranian music, Hassan Nahid has traveled with singers such as Hossein Qavami, Mohammadreza Shajarian, Mahmoud Mahmoudi Khansari, and Abdolvahab Shahidi to countries such as Turkey, Bulgaria, Yugoslavia, Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, and Austria, and has participated in programs under the title of Iranian National Instruments Concert.
In an interview in May 2018, Nahid stated that he has not been able to play the Ney for the past three or four years due to implant surgery. Finally, after a period of illness, he passed away on the evening of Thursday, February 16, 2023, at his home.
