Homayoun Shajarian (born May 21, 1975) is an Iranian traditional and fusion music singer, composer, and instrumentalist. He is the son of Mohammad Reza Shajarian.

Homayoun Shajarian was born on May 21, 1975, in Tehran, into a musical family. He is the son of Mohammad Reza Shajarian and the younger brother of Mojgan Shajarian. In 1996, he married Gita Khansari, and they have a daughter named Yasmine.

Homayoun was interested in music from childhood. With his father’s guidance, he studied technique and rhythm under Nasser Farhangfar. He also continued learning music under Jamshid Mohebbi for a while. He and his sisters learned vocals from their father. At the same time, he went to the Music Conservatory and chose Kamancheh (spiked fiddle) as his specialty instrument. Homayoun also learned his instrument outside the conservatory under Ardeshir Kamkar and became familiar with the Tar and Santur by ear.

From 1991, he accompanied Mohammad Reza Shajarian on concerts in the United States, Europe, and Iran (playing Tonbak), and from 1999 onwards, he began singing with his father on stage. His first work was “Yad-e Ayyam,” in which Homayoun played Tonbak. Homayoun Shajarian has performed many concerts with well-known figures of Iranian music and has released many works with them in Iran and around the world, including the concert albums “Without You, It Cannot Be Done” and “Faryad” (The Scream). Both of these albums were nominated for Grammy Awards in 2003 and 2005.
