Jamshid Mohebi (born 1952 in Isfahan) is a Tombak player. His father was a Tar player and contemporary of Tar players such as Akbar Norouzi and Jalil Shahnaz, and taught the basics of music to his son. Jamshid Mohebi completed learning the Tombak training book of Hossein Tehrani with Hossein Pour Aboltab and then became a student of Nasser Farhang Far in 1978, which lasted until the end of Nasser Farhang Far’s life. Jamshid Mohebi became a master of playing after learning Nasser Farhang Far’s method of playing.
In addition to Tombak, Jamshid Mohebi also plays the Setar. He learned the Setar from Mohammad Reza Lotfi, Hossein Alizadeh and Ata Jangook.
