Keyvan Saket was born on July 5, 1961, into a cultural family in Mashhad. From childhood, with the encouragement of his mother and father, he pursued music and painting, studying painting under masters such as Ostad Sadeghpour, design under استاد Pirasteh, and oil and watercolor under استاد Dovallou. He received his first music lessons from his uncle Manouchehr Zamanian at the Children and Youth Music Workshop, which was established at that time by the IRIB under the management of Morteza Delshab in Mashhad. After a short time, Manouchehr Zamanian returned from Mashhad to continue his studies. After a while, a fellow citizen and friend of his uncle, Hamid Motebassem, who was studying music at the Tehran Conservatory of Art at that time, came to Mashhad and simultaneously taught at the music workshop, remaining there for about two consecutive summers.

Keyvan Saket founded the Vaziri Ensemble in 1996 and has performed many works with this group. In 1990, at the invitation of Parviz Meshkatian, he was invited to join the Aref Ensemble as a soloist, and the result of this collaboration includes works such as “Afshari Morakkab,” “Ofogh Mehr,” “My Homeland” with the voice of Iraj Bastami, and “Magham Sabr” composed by Parviz Meshkatian with Keyvan Saket’s tar solo and Alireza Eftekhari’s vocals.
