Milad Kiai was born on September 23, 1944. From the age of 8, he started playing the santur with his father, who played the “tar” and “santur.” He also learned the Iranian music series from his older brother, “Iraj Kiai,” who was a student of “Abolhasan Saba.” He started his artistic activities at the age of 12 in the children’s program of the radio, and in his teens, he was responsible for performing the radio and television programs “Feeling and Thought” and “Bazm Adineh” for 4 years.

In 1963, he won the first place in playing the santur in the artistic competitions of schools throughout the country, and at the same time, for 5 years, he became a music teacher of extracurricular musicology classes affiliated to the University of Tehran. His university education was in the field of nutrition and health. More than 100 pieces of music have been recorded and published by him so far.

In 2001, he received a first-class art certificate from the Ministry of Guidance, and during a ceremony, a certificate of honor was awarded to him by “Ali Tajvidi” for 40 years of artistic activity.
