Mohammad Amin Akbarpour was born in Ahvaz in 1979. He started learning music in 1989 with the tonbak (goblet drum), then studied the tar and setar with masters such as Zeidollah Tolouei, Keyvan Saket, Dariush Talaei, and Dariush Pirniakan. In 1999, he entered the University of Art and Architecture and received a bachelor’s degree in music. Simultaneously, in 2000, he became a permanent member of the Center for Preservation and Research of Iranian Music. He then went to Mohammad Reza Lotfi to learn the tar. Among his most important activities, in addition to teaching, are the formation of the “Sayeh” ensemble and the compilation of the albums “Golfarsh”, “Golbang” and “Sarvashan”.
He has also collaborated with استاد Mohammad Reza Lotfi’s Sheida Reconstruction Ensemble in the two albums Yadvare Zelli (Esfahan and Chahargah) and concerts at the Golestan Palace and Farhangsaray.
His other activities include collaboration on the albums Gahi Seh Gahi and Ghesseye Afagh.
