Parviz Sedighi Parsi (known as Parviz Yahaghi) (born September 22, 1935 – died February 2, 2007), was an Iranian musician, composer and violinist.
He lived with his uncle Hossein Yahaghi from childhood and learned music from him. From childhood, he became acquainted with famous artists such as Abolhasan Saba, Morteza Mahjoubi, and Ali-Akbar Shahnazi, and studied music with Abolhasan Saba for a while. His first song was for Gholamhossein Banan in the Golhaye Rangarang program called ” ای امید دل من کجائی (Oh, where are you, my heart’s hope)”. During his few years of marriage with Homeyra, he also composed songs for her. Many of his solo performances remain in the Golha program, the tapes of which are available. He is one of the greatest improvisers of Iranian music, and his name, along with Jalil Shahnaz and Hassan Kasaei, is reminiscent of the three great Shahnaz of Iranian music.
