Rahmatollah Badiei was born into an artistic family in the city of Kashan. At the age of 5, he learned to play the Ney (Persian flute) from his grandfather, and after that, he tried to play various songs he heard on his brother’s violin. Despite the fact that his brother’s instrument was too big for him and no one had taught him to play the violin, he was able to play beautiful pieces, which led his father to buy him a small violin so that he could gradually learn violin and the nuances of traditional music from his grandfather. He then went to Roubik Grigoryan’s class and was his student for several years.
At the age of 11, he entered the High Conservatory of Music and received his diploma from this institution. During his studies at the Conservatory of Music, he also attended Abolhasan Saba’s class and was his student for 5 years.
