Golnar, where are you? Your loyal lover is lamenting from your sorrow?
Golnar, where are you? Without you, my heart has become a prisoner of sorrow, my eyes have seen pearls?
Recall the first night of acquaintance and our love!
In that night, you were there, along with joy, pleasure, and many desires
What did you see from me, my beloved Golnar, that you finally deceived me, Golnar?!
May you never get your share from the heavens, as failure became my share, Golnar…
In the dark night, I had the desire to see you!
Until when distraught? Until when captive…?
Either don’t give me promises of faithfulness, keep your secret
Or smile at me, capture my heart!
Open your lips… open your lips to speak, Golnar
Don’t break my distressed heart, Golnar
You haven’t fallen in love… you haven’t fallen in love, how would you know?
What my heart endures every night, Golnar?
🎶🎶🎶🎶
Remember that day when you were Zohreh, my love
Away from the eyes of rivals, by my side
Now your place is empty, oh my beloved
In my dark night, where are you, Zohreh?
Do you remember, Zohreh, that day in the desert
Hand in hand, strolling alone
We were walking, and among the poppies
Our world was full of grace and serenity, Zohreh
It was sunset that day, the horizon beautiful
We stood there to watch it
You rested your head on my chest
We talked and talked, many secrets, Zohreh
When you were sure that I am captivated by your love
You became cold and humiliated me like this
Didn’t you think, my dear love
I, like you, also have a God, Zohreh
Oh Saba breeze, for God’s sake, whose scent do you carry, my love, whose scent do you carry
This sweet scent is from whose tress do you carry
My dear, my soul, whose tress do you carry
My love, whose tress do you carry
The garden has become verdant because of you, oh spring breeze
This verdancy is from whose face and whose scent do you carry
Whose scent do you carry
Oh dear, whose scent do you carry
Oh, I wish I knew one wish of the heart
Until you yourself have a wish for whose face in your heart
Until you yourself have a wish for whose face in your heart
My soul, my soul, whose face do you carry
My dear, whose face do you carry
Oh heart’s love, oh heart
We turn our heart’s face from the whole world towards you
You, you turn your heart’s face, the direction of the soul, towards whom do you carry
My dear, towards whom do you carry, my love, towards whom do you carry
Become confirmed, become confirmed, why is your thought scattered
Perhaps in your head is the thought of whose tress do you carry
Oh dear heart
Perhaps in your head is the thought of whose tress do you carry, do you carry
🎶🎶🎶🎶
Towards you, with longing for your face, towards your abode
I come at dawn, perhaps to find you, tell me where you are
Your sign, sometimes from the earth, sometimes from the sky I seek
See how recklessly, I tread your path, tell me where you are
When will the light of your moon leave my sight, my sight
Besides your name, whose other name will I utter
If I find you, I will tell you the tale of my heart, tell me where you are
I gave my distraught heart into your hands, what else do you want
I have fallen from exhaustion, tell me from my soul, what else do you want
For a moment, you do not leave my imagination, oh my gazelle
What else do you ask of my state
As long as I am, I am captive of your abode, in your wish I am
If I find you, I will tell you the tale of my heart, tell me where you are
I gave my distraught heart into your hands, what else do you want
I have fallen from exhaustion, tell me from my soul, what else do you want
🎶🎶🎶🎶
Night; in the flower garden, alone, I was waiting for you
The wine of failure; in your separation, I drank
I was waiting for you, I was waiting for you
That soul-wrenching night; I, without you, did not rest
Oh, I became old from the sorrow of that night and worn out
I was waiting for you, I was waiting for you
All night I was; eyes on the path, until dawn
Suddenly like a fairy; laughing, you came from the path
Sorrows came to an end
The clang of sorrow of time; I removed from my heart
I was waiting for you, I was waiting for you
Before the flowers; happy and ecstatic
That slender stature of yours was strutting
Sedition of time; your eyes
From heart and soul; I have become, your devotee
In that love and madness; I was devoted to you
Now, from my heart, listen to my song
I was waiting for you, I was waiting for you
🎶🎶🎶🎶
Where is that gathering of intoxication, where is that wine worship
Like a broken jar, fallen from my boil, I am
Where is that burning heart of mine, where is that bright ray
In the corner of loneliness, like a extinguished candle, I am
Where is that captivating beloved, where is that chest full of passion
Where is that intoxication and unawareness, where is that eye full of jewels
When I remember in ?, my heart trembles
Like that ocean, at the memory of the storm, my heart trembles
Ah, where are those nights and awakenings, where are that wine and carousals
Where is my sleepless night, where are my dawn tears
Where is that soul-destroying sorrow of mine, where is my heart full of passion
🎶🎶🎶🎶
From separation with you, oh friend, life has reached my lips
Until when will I shed heart’s blood from my eyes
Remember that day when you stole my heart from me
And that covenant and promise made, this promise broken
If this is the custom of coquetry, how sweet is the death of lovers
Happy that I withdraw my heart from your affection, weary-souled I die
My soul burns from sorrow, as I am hopeless
Except hopelessness from love, what else have I seen
With a glance, I became captivated
With a fantasy, I became mad
With hope, I was happy
With good tidings, I was laughing
From you, my beloved, my oppressor, I have not seen anything but kindness and affection
My heart has become تنگ from hopelessness, from this life and living
If you have generosity in your heart
Do not do oppression to me anymore
Uproot the foundation of injustice
Do not do with me except kindness and faithfulness
So that from your love, I may be in prosperity
🎶🎶🎶🎶
Make my bed intoxicated, oh physician of my pain
Twist and turn the path to the tavern, oh physician of my pain
My beautiful, moon-faced one
Let me sleep, perhaps I will see you in my dream
My dear, I was a garden, you were not there, your place was empty
My heart was longing, your place was empty
God is my pain
My heart-stealer, moon-faced one
Dear soul, where are you, where am I?
As long as I was, I was the needle in your hand, God knows
I was between your fingers and thumb, God knows
Ajl (angel of death) came to take my soul from me, dear, I did not give it
I did not give my soul, as I was bound to you, oh physician of my pain
My beautiful, moon-faced one
Let me sleep, perhaps I will see you in my dream
🎶🎶🎶🎶
The spring breeze has given prosperity to the flower garden
The dewdrop on the flowers has given intoxication
How good it would be now, intoxicatedly, to take the path of the desert with you
Intoxicated with joy, like a butterfly, to take place in the embrace of flowers
You are much better than narcissus and ناز (naaz – delicate)
The eye has no need for flowers with your face
Like a butterfly, my soul is in flight in your desire
Fiery flower, has become sedition-stirring
Oh my flower, like sedition, arise
Flame-like, the tulip dances to the tune of the wind
Listen to the secrets and prayers of the flower with the meadows
In every direction, the manifestation of jasmine is now
You manifest, manifest, for you yourself are jasmine
Commotion and شور (shoor – passion) and melody have arisen in every meadow
Come, let us pick a flower from every meadow
🎶🎶🎶🎶
A dream and a fantasy was our day of union
That dream and fantasy went from memory and was ruined
A delightful and joyful day it was, my mind was free from sorrow
In the flower, from the sorrow of spring, a trembling dewdrop was
And from that beauty and charm
My soul had joy and intoxication from your face
My heart had hope and existence from your hair
Scattering from the branch of lilies, flowers on our heads
Trembling from love and restlessness, our bodies become
Oh, I wish I had not let go of your skirt
What happened to that faithfulness, what happened to that purity, why did I fall from your eyes
Like the past, come to my side, so that sorrow may be given to the wind
I wish to go to the desert with you once more
To take sorrows from the heart and happily go to watch
Heart gone, come back before I perish
For this wound of sorrow has broken the string of my heart
🎶🎶🎶🎶
Where are those nights, those sleeplessness
Where are those fevers, those restlessness
Where in the turbulent sea of your love
Sorrow-seeking, hardship-finding
My soul-tormentor, where are you? My cries and sighs, where are they?
Where is my love that nurtured me with grace?
Where is that moon, that sometimes looks
At its own reflection in my goblet
Although I have fallen apart, the memory of my hunter’s face
When it passes from my memory, my bed becomes full of flowers
When I bring his name to my lips, my soul’s palate becomes sweet
My black fortune, one day, like his hair, will become golden
The moon of the sky becomes ashamed
One night when his face is radiant
Like the face of the moon and Pleiades, it becomes
Although I have fallen apart, the memory of my hunter’s face
When it passes from my memory, my bed becomes full of flowers
