Keyvan Saket was born on July 5, 1961, in a cultured family in Mashhad. From childhood, with the encouragement of his mother and father, he pursued music and painting, studying painting with masters such as Ostad Sadeghpour, design with استاد Pirasteh, and oil and watercolor with استاد Dovallou. He received his first music lessons from his uncle Manouchehr Zamanian at the children and youth music workshop, which was established at that time by the radio and television organization under the management of Morteza Delshab in Mashhad. After a short time, Manouchehr Zamanian returned from Mashhad to continue his studies. After a while, his uncle’s compatriot and friend, Hamid Motebassem, who was studying music at the Tehran Art College at that time, came to Mashhad and simultaneously began teaching at the music workshop, remaining there as a teacher for about two consecutive summers.
In 1996, Keyvan Saket founded the Vaziri Ensemble and has performed many works with this group. In 1990, at the invitation of Parviz Meshkatian, he was invited to join the Aref Ensemble as a soloist, and the result of this collaboration includes works such as ” Afshari Morakkab”, “Ofogh Mehr”, “My Homeland” with the voice of Iraj Bastami, and “The Station of Patience” composed by Parviz Meshkatian with Setar solo by Keyvan Saket and vocals by Alireza Eftekhari.
Other activities of Keyvan Saket include numerous concerts inside and outside of Iran. He has founded the Keyvan Saket Grand Orchestra with over 60 musicians and singers, which has performed numerous concerts in Tehran, Mashhad, and more.
